Script bidding (PRE)

Bid tuning & overrides

Flex your standard tier days for a show that isn't standard.

Quick start
  • Open Bid Tuning from the Script or Shot List view.
  • Apply a complexity factor across the whole bid, or override individual tiers.
  • Overrides are scoped to the project — your workspace defaults stay clean.
  • The bid sheet shows base days, the override, and the resulting total side by side.

Complexity factor

A single multiplier applied to every tier in the bid. Use it when a show is uniformly harder (a demanding client, a compressed schedule, unfamiliar plates) rather than hard in one specific department.

Local overrides

When one work type is the problem, override just that tier. Local overrides always win over the factor, and both are visible on the bid sheet so nothing is hidden from whoever reviews the number.

Keeping defaults honest

Resist the urge to edit your workspace tier days to fix one show — that's what overrides are for. Your defaults should stay a fair reflection of typical work, because every future bid starts from them.
