Work types & tiers
The reusable vocabulary of your bids — and where tier days live.
- Work type — a family of work: fire augmentation, wire removal, set extension.
- Tier — a difficulty step inside that family: Wide / Medium / Close (or your own).
- Days are set per tier, and that's what prices a script bid.
- Open Work Types from the avatar menu, or the Bid work types button on the Shot List.
- Use Bid every tier to sweep a whole family with Prev/Next in one modal.
Why tiers
A close-up dragon is not a wide dragon. Rather than bid 600 individual shots, you bid the ladder once and let the breakdown's counts do the arithmetic. New work types get a default Wide / Medium / Close ladder automatically — rename or replace it to match how your studio thinks.
Bidding a family
On Work Types, expand a family and hit Bid on a tier to open the day-entry modal. From there:
- Prev / Next walks the whole family without closing the dialog.
- Bid every tier starts the sweep from the top.
- + New preset for this tier… promotes what you just typed into a reusable bid preset.
Scope toggle
The All / Used in {project} toggle at the top narrows the list to the work types your current breakdown actually landed on, with an N shots here badge so you can see which families carry weight before you spend time on them.
Per-project complexity
Tier days are workspace defaults. When one show is harder than your baseline, use Bid Tuning to apply a complexity factor or override individual tiers for that project only. See Bid tuning.
